Request for information: ISPs and P2P throttling

Open world is usually OK, but when i get into dungeons its lag spike after lag spike, then DC. I am sending plenty of data and receiving 0.

- When does the problem occur - always and the game is unplayable very sadly.
- I have tried everything I can to fix the issue on my own. Tired of trying at this point with them. Experiencing game breaking lag, especially in instances. Losing lots of data packets and suffering horrible ping times. best I can ever get is 150ms and up. Between trying ping tests and traceroutes, resetting everything, reinstalling game, technician visits... my head is spinning and I would love to relax by playing this increasingly pricey game.

When does this problem occur: Always and it is frustrating as I enjoy FF XI and XIV, but cannot play them since moving to Australia.

Is it possible to invest in better servers and have their placements more spread before the next expansion? While the 'English-speaking' markets in Australia and New Zealand may not reach more than 5,000 to 10,000 playing this game, the problems arise in other portions of this area where English is not the first language, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines, etc.

The lag is so bad during this time that the game is unplayable. I will probably have to quit until its resolved.


UPDATE: I spent about 45min. on the line with Verizon FIOS tech support running trace routes and they say the tests confirm its not their problem. They further state they do not throttle any traffic, rather its P2P traffic or not.

Admittedly, I don't believe them any further than I could throw their corporate headquarters, but that is what they said in response to my tech support request.

When I'm playing, the lag begging anywhere. If I'm running with my mount everything just freeze and cant even get off my mount. While in a dungeon the other playeres are running, freeze out for a 3 seconds and then still moving (hilarious btw ).

Between 4-6pm (UTC-6:00) get worst, get 90000 error and lag anywhere, whatever I'm doing, even if just reading the market, talking with a pal or just running, then the server kick me out, try to log-in and get 2002 error and the main lobby close. However when I play bewtween 1-2am, everything going smooth and tranquil, ocassinaly a little lag but still playable.
