killed it last night, basically had 3 brds run a silence rotation for every voice attack and pld and war stun order on pretty much any big WS he had. when player is targeted by blue orbs said player will sprint away from it until it blows up. we killed him fairly quick however did 4 test runs to get each stun/silence order down to perfection and 5th run was a straight win.
our setup was x3 brd , pld, x2 whm, war, i forget the other job i think she was on mnk.

what helped a lot is each stunner/silence member had a in party chat macro to notify when they used their attack (first 4 runs we did we had no macro in place) so it made a HUGE difference in the result of the battle. also save the limitbreak level 3 for your whm to use for raise don't waste the limit break for any damage or anything its useless otherwise. towards the last 5% zerg pld used his wall limit break stage 2 and we stopped stun/silence order and went wild on chimera.

For anyone who said XIVis going to be EZ mode needs to get kicked in the nuts!
took us 2 1/2 hours to finally beat him.

Gotta make sure to have BRDs silence/ stun him during Dragons voice, and Rams Voice. Mostly Rams Voice. If people aren't paying attention, you're going to wipe and that was our problem last night.

Stun all voice of the ram. Thats it, really. Beat that thing today with:

1PLD, 3WHM(2 will do), 2DRG, 2BRD

Did you guys notice his two self buss? Ice and elec, ice = voice of the ram insta kill attack, elec = voice of the dragon heavy damage

DRG/BRD use stun/silence for all voice of the ram casts, if one gets out while his frost buff is up you are dead. when his elec buff is up and he begins to use breath of the keeper (that skill in which he "spits" those frost circles) you need to order your PT to move up close to him, when someone gets the orb of lightening he has to run out of the group or else heavy dmg + paralyze. then you don't have to stun the voice of dragon casts. when he switches back to frost buff you have to order everyone to back the hell off.

make two icons on top of your melee DDs, every long range dd/caster has to gather at the exact same spot your melee DDs stand and that is: right next to his hind legs, this way when you order everyone to get close to him (while elec buff is up), no one is getting hit by breath or tail attacks.

another tip: until he starts casting keeper (around... 70-60%?) you can let your range dds/caster stand on top of those rocks in the cave. this way they won't be hit by voice of the dragon but when he starts casting keeper your rocks will be covered in ice, so that is your signal to start giving orders according to his self buffs (ice back off, elec get near him)

Tried it last night for the first time, we used a Warrior tank and a paladin to stun Ram Voice, killed it in 3 attempts. Pretty much anyone that can stun can do it, posting this here because too many ppl seem to think that you NEED a bard for this and that its the only way of doing it.

I would love to help with this boss but its taking forever to level 50 alchemist and i'm starting to think its not worth playing anymore.

The inside the cave is pretty tight which makes his ice field a bit of a nightmare, however you can have the pally move him out of the cave into the field, which will provide more space to avoid ice field and his lightning orb.
