The Entered Code Is Invalid

I have been unable to play FFXIV.
I pre-ordered over a month ago from Square Enix but have not been able to redeem the pre-order code I received from my product code. The code begins with RAAU and I am trying to register it with a North American account. After I enter my twenty character alphanumeric code that I have double and tripple checked, I receive the error message, 'The entered code is invalid.'
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I attempted to contact Square Enix but they have not responded. I was told I would have a response within 48 hours and it has been over three business days. Let me know if you have any suggestions, thank you.
