    Message from Yoshi

    Many have had trouble getting into the servers due to two main causes, one there were problems in the configuration that have been worked on hard and fixed as they appeared. And second the huge number of people from NA/EU trying to enter the game early access. The Producer Yoshi San posted a very nice apology and explanation and in case you missed it or did not look, here it is from the dev notes, he is a person of great integrity and compassion and I strongly feel we should be understanding and patient, and look forward to when we can all play together as soon as possible. I am sure that they are doing all that is humanly possible.

    An Apology to Our Players Using NA/EU Data Centers

    On behalf of the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Development Team, I would like to extend my deepest apologies to those Early Access participants who have had difficulty using the NA/EU data centers.

    In response to a variety of issues, we have conducted emergency maintenance several times over the past few days. The first instance, which was conducted six hours following the beginning of early access, was for the purpose of addressing the errors 90000 and 3000, which were first discovered during phase 4 of the beta test.

    Our server team then began taking measures to improve the performance of the lobby and duty finder servers. The subsequent emergency maintenance was necessary to implement their changes.

    This maintenance proceeded as planned, and afterwards we verified that the stability of instanced battles and the duty finder was much improved. However, we then discovered that certain lobby servers had been improperly configured, and we were forced to conduct another brief maintenance to resolve this issue.

    Although we have successfully addressed a number of serious issues in the past several days, we have nevertheless decided to implement login restrictions for the time being due to the extremely heavy load being placed upon the servers. In this way, we can ensure that the maximum number of players can play the game without risking a sever crash. I know no one wants to wait to log in, but I hope you all understand why we believe this precaution is necessary.

    Once again, I would like to sincerely apologize to all our players who have been unable to enjoy Early Access due to the tremendous congestion, the ensuing issues, and the frequent maintenance.

    Everyone on the development and operations teams is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our customers, and we will continue to do our utmost to resolve the remaining and any future issues.

    I'm totally ok with this, and appreciate him giving us an update. I just wish he would of told us an estimated time on the 'Limited logins' and what they were doing to fix it. I'm sure it will be taken care of soon

    Agree with ntall, another useless empty apology with no actual hard information as to what is happening and how they intend to fix it. When the game launches you have to assume there's going to be 5-10x the amount of people. At this rate the servers are going to implode and we'll be waiting months to play the game.

    > This could mean, that they keep login restrictions on for however long they like?

    It was necessary during Beta testing! Not 1 day before release! FIX IT or say goodbye to all your hard work! This game will be plastered all over the media in a couple of days if this keeps going, and I can assure you, that you saying "Sorry" isn't going to help it!

    Suggestions you can take to help ease stress from your Paying customers on NA/EU servers:

    1. Waiver or reduce subscription charges for all players currently on the EU/NA servers.
    2. Offer a free transfer to another world (Jap server)

    I only think it is great that Yoshi has posted an apology, as it means that he is aware of the situation... that is it, AWARE! He didn't say what the plan was about the situation, just that he knows there is a problem, and is sorry that we are unable to play. Now that I think about it, your right, all is well, I can't wait to hand them my debit card details so they can start charging me access to the servers when they are ready for me to access them, its ok though, because we got a "Sorry!"

    At my age I know for a fact that things have a habit of not happening the way we want them to, and it's great that he acknowledges the problem and apologizes for it. I would be fine with waiting to get into the server, but at this point we can't even do that. We just keep getting the same old, The server is full message. Telling us to try again later, how much later? A few minutes? A few hours?
    There is no way to tell how many people are on the server, or for that matter if it is full; until we get the 1017 message. At this point I just want to play the game I have payed for, is that too much to ask for?
