Isles of Umbra

Can anyone tell me where to go to reach the Isles of Umbra? I tried speaking to the Ferry Skipper and he said access is prohibited. I did a search for "Isles of Umbra" in the forums but found nothing. There are some things on the Isles that I need for hunting log on Lancer, and I don't doubt other classes need to go there as well. I'll post back if I find anything.

Nobody knows? Has anyone even been there yet? I would really like to go there but I was unable to progress in (or even join) a Grand Company due to the datacenter problems.

How do you unlock that dungeon im from gridania.

just managed to get far enough on main story. You get there when your main story gets to lv 42 quests.

StianGold, I don't know which dungeon you're referring to, but the Isles of Umbra is apparently an open area in Western La Noscea.

He will when you reach that point in the main story.

Apparently, access to The Isles of Umbra require you to progress through the MSQs.

There's not much there outside of two or three FATEs, some sidequests and story quests, though. Luckily, that's where the Pharos Sirius is, which is a new dungeon in patch 2.1! So it looks like we'll have a bit more to do there come November.
