Just got an email with following -

Yesterday we launched the FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn™ pre-order redemption website that will allow users to receive their pre-order bonuses including Early Access to the game prior to launch. Unfortunately, we were able to confirm an issue that led to customers receiving an incorrect Early Access code for their territory.

We have confirmed that the Early Access code you received when redeeming your pre-order code from the website is a European code, when it should be a North American code.

We have successfully addressed the issue and have reset your pre-order code so that it may be entered into the website again.

Please visit the pre-order redemption site and re-enter your existing pre-order code which will now give you the correct code for Early Access and your other pre-order bonuses!

The link itself can say one thing, but the link may be directing you to a fraudulent site.

The link wasn't toward official site. When I mouse over it, it was close but not the real address.

it was "http://link.email-square-enix.com". I do not believe this is the real SE URL

This could be legit since they DID send a lot of NA people EU codes.

Edit: yeah that address seems suspicious. I was writing my reply when you posted that part.

I don't think it's a bad idea to warn people about phishing emails. Do we really need to be so aggressive toward others ?

Judging by the WHOIS infomation, yes it's a fake.

Thanks for looking that up. I just want to give people a heads up since a lot of players did suffer this per-order code issue. Some might panic and fall for the trap.

I received the same email, which is worrying. The first thing that got me thinking that it was suspicious, was that they put my username as 'Naazgul' >_>. I like LOTR but I don't like it enough to make that my username XD.
