PS3 PSN Purchase confirmed working no codes needed.

PS3 PSN Purchase confirmed working with no issues. Bought my wife a CE edition and downloaded the new client and the activation patch from the PSN yesterday. Could not start the client until today and the first step was to verify that it will be come active on 8-24. Then it went through the activation and verification of all CE content and items. After accepting this there was a 2GB upgrade.

For those that want a drama free PS3 solution there you go.

I did the same thing after suffering through the "invalid code" fiasco.Was stress free and now i'm ready to roll come Saturday.

I was feeling guilty that I bought the standard PS3 edition, got a pre-order code, then cancelled it because I decided I wanted the CE instead. I got another code for the CE and was planning on not using the previous code. Glad that I had both as the CE code ended up getting me a broken code from SE. I waited a few days, sent in a tech request, and still had a broken code. I ended up using my other code and got a PS3 EA code that worked. I'm now glad I had the two codes, as the one I got from the actual purchase didn't work. Hopefully SE addresses the PS3 code issue by tomorrow.

I agree, that was suuuper painless. Love it! So glad I got the PS3 CE. It even explicitly shows you what your FFXIV service accounts have on them in case you were one of those people who accidentally created a second one during Beta. I didn't, but know some people who did.

arrggh. mine stops and says no valid/active blah blah. wonder if i messed things up when i mistakenly made a new account for phase 4? tried deactivating my phase 3 account, but no dice

edit: seems i am one of the lucky ppl that bought the digital copy between 8/13-8/15 oh joy

Yeah I hear ya on this. I had a preorder from gamestop. Couldnt get the code to work. Bought a copy from the ps store problem solved. Went back to gamestop and got all my money back. I still have my preorder code from gamestop and I'm sure I could have got it to work eventually but I'd much rather have a digital copy of the game instead of the disc anyday.

yeppers. confirmed. i know a lot of people were imploding over the early access codes for both PC and PS3.

I bought the PS3 digital version on PSN two days ago & I can confirm that no codes are needed. When I logged into my account, my preorder bonus & early access has been activated without keying in any codes.

I finally said screw this invalid code nonsense and preordered CE from the PS store and everything is working perfectly now. Take that square enix X) now I just have to cancel my gamestop preorder
