How many clusters per gather?

Items like darksteel ore and crawler cocoons yield 3 per gather for a total of 18 if you hit everything. I was wondering what the yields were on clusters.

1 per hit, so a total of 6 per node if you are lucky. You can choose which clusters you want though.

you can use king's yield to get 2 or 3 clusters per hit, you need to uncover the node "manually" though, so waste 1-2 hits in doing that

They removed Dark Matter from gathering nodes, not Carbonized which are the required items for melding materia.

I'm fairly sure I spent half of phase 4 gathering and crafting, unless I was really asleep. Level 50 nodes work differently than previous nodes.
