question about beta test final 4

For those who have registered a beta code by Tuesday, July 30th, 2013 9:59p.m. (PDT), you will automatically be accepted to participate in Beta Test phase 4 (final Beta Test). If you have not yet registered a beta code, please make sure to complete the registration process before the above date.


Application Period:
Until Monday, July 22, 2013 (PDT)
* On the above date and time, the Beta Tester Application Site will be temporarily closed and will reopen when Beta Test phase 4(final Beta Test)


^^^ That says that but if you go to the tester site it says:
Phase 4 (Open Beta)
- Final balancing of core systems and beta content

So my question is why do you need a beta code for open beta?
Maybe there will be a separate open beta after the final 4?

I always thought this would be the case because something would have to be applied to your SE account to allow you to access Beta forums and download the beta client.

But everyone said "oh no... everyone is in Beta 4. There is nothing you need to do.". Yes everyone can get in. But they still need a code. However, everyone can/will get a code by applying. I'd advise against using a hotmail address as I think that's where people had alot of problems getting their codes.

SE seems to have clarified a few points on their Lodestone announcement. To summarize:

Apply to obtain a beta code by Monday July 22.
Once you get your beta code, you need to register it by July 30.

If you miss either deadline, don't worry. SE will reopen the application process once Phase 4 Open Beta begins.

Well it said JULY earlier. I'm looking at it now, it still says July. I certainly hope they haven't changed it to June (which has passed) >.>
