Finnish Linkshell and Free Company

Hello!

An active group of Finnish players has decided to gather on Ragnarok. We have a number of experienced players who have played since the launch of the original 1.0, as well as completely new players starting out their very first character.

Despite the fact, that Ragnarok is labeled as a LEGACY-server, it doesn't mean that new players wouldn't be able to join us. However, old players that paid their subscription for 3 months or more, cannot join fresh servers. Both new and old players have access to this server, provided that there is enough room in general.

Our primary purpose is to form a social Linkshell (= a chat channel) dedicated to players who are fluent in Finnish language. While there isn't technically any requirements (aside from finnish language) to join, please keep in mind that continous disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.

Our second objective is to gather the more experienced and intrested players from the Linkshell and invite them to the Free Company (= a guild). As a FC we'll work towards gearing a class/job or two per player and work our way through the content.

If you're intrested in joining us, please, come give us a holler using an IRC-client. We're hanging out in #ffxiv.fi @ Quakenet. Or alternatively, send us an ingame-message if/once you're on Ragnarok.

If you have an earlier account/character, please fill out the official transfer application before 15th of July. This transfers your character at the start of open beta.

Our original gathering almost 3 years ago brought together almost 70 Finns. As the game did not meet everyone's expectations, those who stayed, returned later and joined us through earlier merges, reformed the community. This gives a very rough estimate of our activity level.

Updated the OP.

We've set the Free Company status currently as 'on hold', in order to discuss our members' classes/jobs. We also want to catch up with the members joining us through server transfers. At the moment our FC has 10+ names.

While Linkshell still stays open for everyone fluent in finnish, we're currently looking to re-opening the Free Company recruitment some time after game's official launch.
