Just a short summary of what was discussed in the Live Letter in case anyone wanted to go back over it or missed it.
Scholar branches from Arcanist
Scholar uses a Fairy as a pet
Scholar does healing over time spells
Summoners use "egi" (small version of Primal, kind of like elementals from FF11, but more powerful)
Egi has their own role (Titan as tank, Ifrit as tank/dps, Garuda as caster)
New classes before first expansion
DX11 and PS4 finished "within a year"
Ishgard to be released in the first expansion
Fisher coming in Phase 4, not action based (like having to react right when a fish bites), designed with personal achievements in mind, won't be lucrative for RMT (but will players be able to make money?)
Between 1-3 days of downtime between Phase 4 and early access
Free Company Housing will have permission settings (free company members, free company allies, friend list)
Dungeon Tokens and the items you can purchase with them will vary between the types of content and its difficulty
No grand ideas for the card game yet
40ish zones for launch, with the ability to expand to 80 through patches
Chocobo buddy system - three archetypes, will be able to assign points to chocobos in Phase 4 (and yes it was fighting a Mamool Ja in the previous Live Letter!)
Instanced Primal Battles will be similar to those in 1.0. FATE Primal battles will be more directed like for Behemoth, you might have to cut off his horn before you can do any damage to him. Odin might be like its older incarnations where if you don't do enough damage to him in enough time he'll do Zantetsuken and kill everyone. And he's small for a reason. (probably because he gets stronger each time you beat him, as was mentioned in earlier interviews, so will probably grow in size)
Plan to implement many more monsters with body parts you have to damage
Plan to keep the Skirmish battles from 1.0 and have fights with bosses from previous FFs in them.
A lot of effort has been put into main scenario battles so that they're not pushovers. (don't forget your antidotes!)
The Garlean Emperor won't play a major role in the story. He's sickly and the other Legatuses are vying for his seat of power. The Empire will always be a constant threat though despite what happens to its important characters throughout the story
There will be some barding for chocobos that will be craftable.
A Mentor system is planned through the Free Companies to help new players out.
No more hamlet defense required for "A Relic Reborn" but the rest of the quest hasn't change much.
Letter was much shorter than usual but they really tackled a lot of the big questions circulating the english forums with no "throwaway" questions. Thanks Bayohne for that!
The arcanist/summoner/scholar video is now up on the XIV youtube channel: http://youtu.be/QbF3jq04c80

Thank you thank you thank you SO much for asking this question, Bayohne, and Yoshi for answering:
1...2...3 days??? I was very surprised by that answer. I thought it would be at least a week.
This question was asked, but I think the answer was actually about FC Housing, so I guess we still don't know the answer about sharing personal homes. I definitely know I don't want the limits mentioned applied to any personal home (entire free company, members of associated free companies, etc.).How flexible will personal housing be?
Will we be able to:
1) Share a personal home with our marriage partner?
2) Share a personal home with a partner (unmarried)?
3) Share a personal home with multiple people (roommates)?
4) Share a personal home with our married/unmarried partner AND other friends/roommates!?
5) Have tenant(s) who pay rent?
6) Etc....
No one wants to live alone in a video game!
Any other thoughts?

Yeah that is a lot quicker than I was thinking too... I agree I was thinking like a week. That is a quick turn around he's wanting.
I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
