Guildhest

In addition to FATE, another feature you can look forward to is the new guildhest system. This was originally the behest system in Version 1.0, but after tweaking it so much, we thought it deserved a new name. lol!

Who's idea was this?
Actually, don't tell me. It's probably safer if I don't know.

It doesn't work. The term behest at least had a linguistic foundation. This is just... wierd. Like it's trying to be a pun and failing at even being a bad joke, one that new players wouldn't even get. It doesn't even roll off the tongue properly. Hardly epic!

As alternative suggestions, we could try using:
- Missive;
- Commission; or
- Expedition.

I don't know why they didn't just opt for 'Guild Behest', seems an obvious enough choice to me. It's not really as if it's something which required abbreviating.

JP name for this is guild order. Why can't they just make it the same so different region players group up they know that it's the same event...

A portmanteau is a valid linguistic tool! I pronounced it with a silent 'h' so it sounds less clumsy.

Not meaning to defend it though; there are plenty of other nomenclature options, as you've mentioned.

I am fairly sure that the entire loc staff is busy in the event, but i'm-a going to back Catapult ont his. Whereas Mjollnir is correct in that a pormanteau is a valid linguistic tool and my friends know it's one I have abused beyond belief, I have t osay that Guildhest is a very weird thing to say, at least for one not native to english.
