Yup its easy for us to say things like that..but its not an easy concept to grasp when only having one set of "rules" in their head, as opposed to several "rules" in our multi-lingual minds ;D

Something else I noticed with the XIV Lore is that there are an abundance of tricky words that are vital to the game's lore ..such as our realm, "Eorzea", the race "roegadyn". That, and trying to unravel the mindf**k with the Echo from the main storylines...it sometimes feels like FFXIV: The Scholarly MMO. Lol. This thread, and the CG Midlander thread, are testaments to that!

Of note is F'lhaminn also being shortened by Nielle to "Lhaminn", pronounced Lah-mean.

Khrimm is pronounced "Crim", as in crimp without the p.

    Gridania is pronounced Grid-ahn-nya.

Rhalgr is pronounced Wral-ger, with emphasis on the Wral.

    E-Sumi, is eh-sue-me.

    Nielle is simply Neil.

    That was all I got.

Always wondered about this, cause I hear it said several ways:

Leve - as in Guild leve.

It is - leeve or le-ve?

There was a dev post saying it's leave as in "I'm leaving the house."

Oh yeah forgot about those. As for "Laminn", I think that was more a booboo on the voice actor's part haha. If you look at that cutscene from the beta release (there's a few on youtube), the subtitle actually reads "Lhaminn". I'm guessing later they added the F', or booboo'd it from the start and were unable to get the voice actor to rerecord or something.

With Krimm, the pronunciation I thought was pretty straight forward. There's no p, so not sure why you'd mention that o_o

Good call on E-Sumi though, I'd forgotten about that one.

Or there is something about kitty names we don't properly understand yet.
