make you log in each time or did you have to put in your log in and password once and you got direct access to your character after reaching the title screen? I question this because I just received my security token for having just bought the CE. Although I don't mind logging in each time for the pc, even with the added password, the moment the ps3 version of ffxiv gets released, it may get annoying to have to log in every time you start the game (because of the ingame keyboard) but if it does turn out that we must log in each time, I'll live with it...

You can use a keyboard on the PS3, you know that? Just plug in a keyboard and use it to enter text.

and yes, all versions of FFXI, not just the PS2, make you enter your password each time (just the square enix password, the playonline password can be saved)

Never played on the ps2 only on the PC, but I would imagine if you got the security token you would most likely have to enter the security token numbers each time you log in. I have one of those mini attachable keyboards that attach to your ps3 controller just at the top, it worked very well in white knight chronicles for me, might be something to look into.
