Yeah, I was a bit confused by that since I clearly recall Xmas being celebrated in various ways growing up in Japan..lol. it's pretty much like how it is in America modern days, not fully related to the birth of christ anyway.
JEZZ ... the members of this forum will nitpit ANYTHING to complain or nag about. Just take it for what it is .. a letter for the producer about the game (mainly the schedule being posted).
I noticed that too and was under the same assumptions. Seems kinda odd that an "era" ends so soon. Even if we work towards the end of the umbral era (perhaps with the defeat of Bahamut) it still seems short.
I think it might be a typo (or at least I hope it is doesnt make sense to me lol)
because yea I'm on the same page as you I was under the impression the 7th umbral era is still going on in ARR
Roadmap= Part of the Letter ( to me)

And you have a problem with. . . . what? That they chose not to call it Christmas even though its imagery is of the Western Holiday? Let's not forget Valentione's event, or the whatsitsname Halloween one. . . .
If anything, it's respectful to the people who normally, in their culture/religion, don't celebrate those holidays but enjoy the pop-culture aspect of it.

People say holidays because there are many holidays this time of year. It's not just sensitive to other religions and cultures, it's entirely an accurate term.
