Our sixth installment in the Alpha First Look video series focuses on the more peaceful endeavors of adventurers in Gridania.
When gathering, players are presented with a list of obtainable items, as well as their chances for success. Any item may then be chosen from this list. When crafting, players must first select a recipe from their crafting log and click on Synthesize to begin the process. Players must then perform class actions—using crafting points—to complete the process before durability is compromised.
* The gathering and crafting featured in this video are performed by low level characters. Actions are demonstrated with the mouse instead of keyboard for greater clarity.

It's nice to know that I don't need to go to a third party site to find where to harvest stuff. It takes a bit of memory but at least I can target specifically what I need and not notch 3, area 4 and MAYBE I'll get some ash lumber or maybe an ash branch.
It's nice that we can harvest shards as well. Though... he missed on that 80% crystal shard... I have a feeling my luck will be about the same ; ;(3)

yes it's really cool, but i dont have good memory in my brain to remember everything so i'll have to use third party sites haha xD

Crafting looks like it will much more enjoyable now. I will have fun getting my crafting classes to 50.

Yay! I no longer need those fancy degrees in Chaos Theorycraft and Aeronautical Engineering just to chop down a tree and chisel it into a pointy stick! ...That was two years of University and 10 million gil wasted. (^._.^)
Also: Holy crap did they fix the 100% progress 0 durability thing?
