    In Dissidia...

    Ok, so I just finished the Thirteenth Cycle in Dissidia Duodecim.

    As the end credits rolled, my eyes widened as I heard the theme for FFXIV! (No, not the song Answers, the stuff we heared during trailers and character creation.)

    So what I'm wondering is if this is actually a subtle tip of the hat to FFXIV's existance, or if that very music was used in an earlier title?

    Can someone enlighten me?

    The music that plays during character creation is the main theme of Final Fantasy, and it's been in just about if not every numbered title in the series.

    Not necessarily, but it'd be an incredible occurrence for someone to be playing this game, and have stuck with it for this long through all its problems, yet has never played any other Final Fantasy title.

    Hold on one second, folks. I don't think they are talking about the main FF theme. They are talking about the song that plays during character creation, NOT the song that plays on the main menu with the white background and FFXIV logo. They are two completely different songs, and the one during character creation is unique to FFXIV.

    The harps of the main menu is the Final Fantasy "Prelude". This is the Main Theme of Final Fantasy, and it has been in just about every game in the series starting with the original back in 1987.

    I am darn near the biggest nerd in the universe when it comes to the music of Final Fantasy.

    Absolutely not. It's the main FF Theme and has been since FF1.
