    Moving NPC's

I'm playing FF4 again... and like a lot of older RPG's.... most of the random NPC's walk around town (IE they do not stand in the same spot). While the shopkeepers and important NPC's and certain other ones stand in the same spot permanently.... lots of the townfolk you talk to move around a bit.

I kinda think they should bring that back.... even make shopkeepers and important NPC's move around a little bit depending upon day/night cycle. No the shops would not close (though they can) during a certain time of day... a 2nd NPC can keep that shop open.

Anyways letting this out there for the dev's/anyone else interested.

There's enough of us moving about the city to have NPCs getting in the way. It just seems like a nuisance.

I would like movement, and even schedules - though through quest markers and the help of guards nothing should be "hard" to find.

Also because not every npc has a house and a bed schedules are obviously going to be limited and primitive - that is good I guess since people wont be like "OMG WHERE IS HE" - as often.

Regardless, so long as the movements are not insane I'd like to see everyone do something at least once in a while. Like Cid working on multiple projects in his workshop rather then standing by one all day everyday.

I loved how NPCs were scheduled in Xenoblade, but it wasn't tedious because you could change the time to whenever you wanted.

But I like the idea of an NPC just doing things in their "work zone". (Like the example of Cid doing different projects).

Would be nice. Heck, I remember the kid running back and forth in Sandy for the deliveries... Probably says something if that still comes to mind.

I guess NPCs without direct dialoges (meaning you can't click them to open a text dialoge, but seeing speech bubbles over their heads) would be the best for such an idea.
It adds a great deal of livelyness to a town that might not be the centre of the game.

Also its funny seeing two NPCs talk with each other as you close in to them
