Final Fantasy XIV lore will first be told in-game, but in the future Yoshida will be looking into compiling it into a book and releasing it!

Some ideas of mine for future consideration:
design
Have it resemble an ancient tome, as if it was taken straight from a library from one of the main city states.
Ex:
content
Have the content of the lorebook divided into sections, like Eorzean history, racial descriptions, city state overviews and history, bestiary, faction overviews and history, and technology.
