The urge to play another game

I don't know about anyone else but I usually game each night after I put my daughter to sleep. After last night's events, I would rather just log in to FFXIV and discuss with other players about the game than play another game right now. I am so excited to see what happens over the next few months and no other game is really drawing my attention.

How about you guys?

I'm in the exact situation as the OP.

I actually took September and most of August off of XIV. I begrudgingly crafted in October, but after the post final save events and "The End of an Era" video all I want to do is log into XIV and talk about all of the neat stuff that's going on / going to happen.

I don't really feel like playing Skyrim, or anything else for that matter, which is what I normally do.

Nice idea Justice. Good way to brush up on lore. So how did it feel to watch the Alexander/Bahamut scene from IX again!? Wish he would have made an appearance last night!

Funny thing is, when I first played IX when it came out (I've played all of these, and only had not beaten III and V), I didn't really dig it. I found it to be way too weird a game. Now, years and many RPGs later (including the preceding 8 titles in the series), it was my favorite. But then I played X, and (aside from the voice acting), I forgot how much I had loved that title as well.

XII I recalled virtually nothing of, so it's nice to get into it. I'm enjoying it, but IX and X are still my favs.

VII over VIII anyday as well. I didn't like VIII, thought maybe I'd feel differently with this replay. Nope.

Conversely, I had not enjoyed V when I first played it (PS1 Origins title), which is why I'd never beaten it. However, this time around, I enjoyed it a lot as a very traditional-style RPG FF title.

Dreading next month when I have to play what was (IMO) the worst of the series, XIII.

Come January of 2013, having just finished XIII, I'll probably play its sequel, then play FFX-2 to bring back some FFX love (never beat that one, either).

With all these FF titles each month -- plus catching Distant Worlds for the first time ever this past March -- it's been a fun year!
