Petition To Add Behest Rank Restrictions

Hello everyone.

I figured with the recent responses from the dev team perhaps I would make a petition of my own to solve an issue. I'm sure many of us have been in a Behest with someone who is about 10 ranks below the camps usual rank, or a few too many ranks higher. A lot of this from what I've seen from making the Behest party is usually around Camp Horizon. Which is no surprise considering how Ul'dah is the central hub for players, much like Jeuno was in FFXI. But it gets quite annoying when you have a Rank 11 and a Rank 29 in the same Behest with a 18 rank difference. Why the 11 doesn't go to Drybone or the 29 doesn't go to Nanawa I'll never understand. I just think there should be restrictions in place from the dev team limiting what rank is able to participate in specific Behest.

I know you could just oust the rank 11, but that's still a spot where another player who can actually contribute to the Behest. Or if you were to leave a higher ranked player out they could just run around soloing the mobs and nothing you could do about it. Kind of gets annoying when the same people do it over and over, and just hang out in the back.

Think about this will also mean for years to come. The PS3 release hits stores around North America, Japan, Europe. Now you feel like leveling another job you never bothered with before. You go to a camp to join in Behest to help with leveling and make some new friends, only a couple of rank ~10's decide to join in, and the Behest hits the 15/15 cap.

Now you just wasted an hour, while someone else gets to leech and contributes nothing to the party. Or the first expansion hits. That awesome job you've been waiting for is finally released. But you spend hours and hours sitting at camp, run out of leves for that camp, and now just solo grind to level instead of getting some great experience from Behest.

Just additional food for thought. Unless you really like waiting for an hour for Behest and not getting in.

well i dont see problem there. and ill say NO to any restrictions on anything. if it really annoys you got somewhere else, there are more than 1 behest places to be. and for people wit toolow/to high rank, its their loss. they would get much more SP in level-appropriate place.

I would prefer Level sync to be added it would solve a lot of problems with partying.

Too bad that like this they're allowed to grief others and their ability to gain decent SP from behest. Griefing should always be countered.

I second a level limitation. There's no reason to allow people outside the appropriate level range to join a behest.

I know there are other camps to be at, but theres not always people there. I've run to Cass Hollow before because I got tired of the mines. I run inside Cass. Hollow and it looks awesome, but no ones there. So I just decided to run around for a bit and then return back to the mines. And from what I've heard you cant really solo until like 5 ranks above the usual rank for the camp. Mostly Gridania and Limsa Lominsa is pretty empty, everyone hangs out at Ul'dah and their region's camps. Plus, I'm supposed to run half way across the world or use up anima because someone else just wants to leech?

Though like Alexia said, if they added Level Sync I would be very happy with that as well.

Please... please add this. There was a r4 running around in Horizon yesterday for a few Behests, even so after we explained politely that he would be much better off at Camp Black Brush.

Make the cap like 2-3 ranks below the suggested rank for the camp, and the upper limit to 2-3 below the next camp? My 2 cents.

Yeah, having a set optimal rank for Behest would be perfect. Though no surprise at the rank four. Had plenty of rank 11's over at Horizon. Also.... Lol at who just replied to my post. Aista, its Kaeous. >.>
