Prayers for Eorzea

On Balmung tonight we decided to try a few things having to do with praying at the stones. I figured I'd post it here so that others could modify it and try it as well, and post their results.

First, we tried just mass praying at a stone in Ul'dah (it is the one being attacked most heavily on Balmung at the moment). We had around 15-20 people pray nearly simultaneously to no result.

Next, we created a LS and dispersed, sending one person to each stone. We did a countdown and prayed around 10 times at each stone simultaneously to no result.

Things we want to try:
**Each person at their OWN DEITY'S stone (We were unable to get enough people to do this method, that's why we tried just one person at each stone regardless of their deity.)
**A party (or two, or three..!) makes the full pilgrimage from Living on a Prayer, praying together at each stone.

Please let us know your results and what methods you have tried if you have tried any praying at the stones!

Just an idea but maybe the rings we obtained from the prayers quest may link to these current event in some way or form D:

Yes, that was another thing we were thinking. Wear your ring, everyone pray at their diety.. that sort of thing. We just couldn't get enough people to do all thirteen stones.

lol, yeah i can hardly even get eight people to form party as is atm, hopefully try again 2mrw with better results! i'm hoping the only way to kill the goobue isn't just spamming it with people and involves something of greater power and offers rewarding feeling after completion

I tried doing this yesterday but only a few people were up for even trying to explore alternative options.

I'd love to try a more focused effort with more people.

If you form a group I'll be in it.

We should make a checklist of things to try and scratch them off as we do them i.e.

I. Large group travels as one and does a pilgrimage to all twelve stones.
A.) Make sure your deities ring is equipped

II. A Full Party consisting of people with the same deity travels to their respective deities altar and prays with their ring equipped.
A.) Full Party x 12 prays simultaneously at each altar

III. Pilgrimage in the same order as the quest "Living on a Prayer"
A.) Pilgrimage in the opposite order of "Living on a Prayer"

IV. Pilgrimage to all twelve altars without teleporting (least likely to instigate any outcome but what the hell right?)
A.) Pilgrimage to all twelve altars in a large group wearing your deities ring w/out teleporting in order of "Living on a Prayer"
B.) Pilgrimage to all twelve altars in a large group wearing your deities ring w/out teleporting opposite "Living on a Prayer"

Didn't Soken hint about going to the altars on Twitter or something? Heard a rumor about that in the other thread.

I'm going to repost this in the other prayer threads but here's another thing to consider, going off the evidence at the stones that there is one of each "class" of imperial do we need to have a party that consists of one of each class or job? Does it need to be a full party of eight or can a "Lucky 7" do the job?
