Order of the Blue Garter: Open Legatus Challenge

With 2.0 on the horizon, most people are scrambling to finish more relics, farm more gear, rack up those achievements, and complete those quests.

What're we doing instead? Trying to get a sub-10-minute Legatus kill (Rivenroad (Hard)).

Our best time so far is 10:41. This is an open invitation to see if anyone can beat us to the punch and clock a faster kill. What's at stake? Bragging rights and an indelible mark left on a fight that represents 1.0, warts and all, at its peak.

Just clocked a kill in under 10 minutes from entry (about 9:07 I think), 8:48 of actual fight time.

It's nice to see community events like this, it reminds me of the in game XI races that a lot of people enjoyed. I'd be impressed if someone did it in less than 10 minutes, but this is where MMO's really interest me. Min maxing gear is not up everyone's alley, but I think it's a really cool concept.

There were a lot of really cool challenges like this in GW1, people managing to beat certain dungeons in just absurd times.

Is the strat we used for our 1st kill, the strat we are using to try to beat it in under 10 minutes is not exactly good for getting a 1st kill .

Well the reason you're doing something else instead is because you've already done all those things you listed and have nothing better to do most likely. I know you're not doing it on purpose but you could challenge people to beat your time without rubbing your awesomeness all the way in. You could have just said "What's y'all's fastest time for rivenroad hard? Ours is <time>. Can you beat it?"

I do wish more people were doing this fight though. i don't know why so few people are interested.

I didn't intend to sound like I was trying to rub anything in. There are actually are a fair number of NA LSs who have 7/7 relics on multiple members and more Darklight than us; the most any of us have is 5/7.
