leves not accumulating

Is there any reason my character's leves would be stuck at 8? I haven't done leves in weeks or even perhaps longer.

Just went to do one and it said Leve's Remaining: 8.

I did 8 and now I have zero.

I thought they accumulated to 99 over time.... but its been a while since I did one.

If you haven't done a leve since they changed to the accumlate-to-99 system, your leves will start at 8 and stay at 8 until you do a leve (or at the very least, visit the counter and/or pick up a leve).
