    Which Darklight set?

    Hi guys,

Probably a very noobish question but I'm wondering what pieces of the darklight set are best for a Dragoon? Mainly due to my ignorance of not not understanding the full weight of each stat as a Dragoon as of yet.

I've got Garuda's Beak so I will be focusing on trying to use as many good pieces as possible without worrying about keeping a set bonus for the Maelstorm gear.

Any solid recommendations on which is better out of:

Either of the Feet pieces are great, darklight caligae being best of the 2. With hands however, you would be much better of melding strength to gloves for Dragoon. Out of the 2 hands however Bracers have become nearly obsolete so I would take the Darklight gauntlets before them, but I recommend strength gloves.

If your not capped on piety , I would get a piety melded body piece, I personally use a dark steel haub +1 double meld piety (which I got very lucky on my first try >.>) the +1 has a +7 piety on it so that helped.

Now, with the 2 body options you gave, I personally have seen many dragoons use the cuirass, I myself have the corselet, I like that It has more strength Some accuracy and although I don't know how much the store tp helps I liked that it had that too lol.

Seeing as how you have garudas beak, I do believe you will be able to use the cuirass and hit caps just fine. You will def need some melded str gloves.

What store tp does I'm not a hundred sure but I'm gonna take a guess and say that it reduces the amount of tp used on a weaponskill? Not sure but it's something about storing tp lol.

Lastly, if you are aiming towards a drg relic, you will not hit cap with either of those body pieces. You will need the haub or a good melded piety body piece and most likely triple melded hands.

I know you asked a specific question between which body, but I thought I'd give you that and more. Also if you could, let us know how you r on hitting caps.

    Thanks

Store TP, as far as i know, just gives you the displayed amount of extra TP for each hit. So instead of... let's say 100, you get 140TP with each AA. Our monk said it would be this way, i'm quite sure that he's right, but i can't say that i know it for sure.

Between Corselet and Cuirass: Cap for STR is easy to hit, so you don't really need the +5STR from Corselet. TP is not an issue with DRG especially if you run around with throwable weapons. Acc got a lot better since recent patches so... i would go for the Cuirass.

But as Gloulion said... A double melded PIE body may be the wiser choice.

Corselet > Cuirass. the crit power, the acc and the store tp beat anything except maybe a triple melded hauby with crit power and piety lol

Corselet isn't good unless it's for an ACC build or the STR is needed/provided it outweighs a DS Haub+1. In that regard, Cuirass is really not good.

So the combination of some extra tp, the acc, the str and the crit power when DRG crit rate is over 20% in most fights doesn't make it best there is except for a triple meld body like i said above? lol

    ?

Single meld DS Haub+1 would be better in most situations. Barring that, a melded Rainmakers/Gryphonskin would also be fine and serve the same purpose. I don't see how we said that same thing.

You said Corselet was hard to beat, I'm saying it is easy to beat.

    Guess gonna have to agree to disagree because I personally not see how a body piece without crazy triple meld or so can beat corselet ^^;
