No WHM AF chest in Dzemael Darkhold

Last night was in the party of 7 for "In Search of Succor"
There were two WHM in the party who needed this done.
One WHM got the chest, I didn't: not even seen the chest!
The quest is active in the Journal. WHM job is active.
I even returned back to Raya-O to confirm the status: she just talks where the gears can be found.
Is there a AF chest re-spawn timer or it pops for each player individually?
What could go wrong?

In all my experience helping people with Darkhold I've never heard of this happening, nor do I know of any respawn timer or pop limits. Sounds like a bug. Try again? (Also, it's not technically a chest. It's more a dusty old crate in the corner of the room on the left just past the Deepvoid Slave.)

It's a wooden crate in the drake room. No there's no respawn timer, there should have been a ? Icon above the crate if you were on the correct stage in the quest.

TY, guys,

I may try again the "Darkhold" part later this week: I don't like the place!
Look for the full party, kill the Slave, spend 30+ min in the unfriendly place just to check if the crate is there?!
My Dzemael map doesn't show the ? at the crate location.
The quest map in the Journal only marks ??? at the entrance of the dungeon.

Is it possible to get other pieces before culottes or there's a certain order?
I read you need a full party only for the Darkhold; another dungeon could be a "quick" test if I have the quest screwed up of it was only a bug.

The ??? on the journal is only at the entrance of the dungeon, it doesn't show you the location inside Darkhold so that's not the issue. You don't even have to be on WHM to pick it up. I would chalk it up to being a bug as well and maybe the crates just didn't load for you for whatever reason. If it happens again you can try asking your party to let you relog while at the spot with the crates and see if it reloads them.

Also, you shouldn't need 8 people, although it does make it easier if you guys haven't done much darkhold before.

And yes, you can get the other pieces before getting the culottes (there are multiple ??? options in the journal) but there is no intended order, so you can get your other pieces in the meantime. For the love of god, get those boots. They are amazing.

Happened to me once. Chest just wasn't there. Ran out of time, re-entered, got the chest. I assume it's a glitch.

Here's the update.
I made my way to Turning Leaf (Camp Crimson Bark) and carefully walked by huge trees and Spindiggles.
I found a crate marked by "!" under the bridge and targeted it. The message popped "You have obtained the key item"
No boots were added to my inventory, no key items were added to the "key items" tab under the Attributes.
My journal was not updated.
I did it twice: once as CNJ another as WHM: both times got the message and no items.
The "!" and the crate is still there under the bridge.
Sure enough I was attacked by two vultures flying nearby.
Spindiggles also got involved as soon as I start using magic.
I actually touched the crate while under attack: not sure if it makes a difference if you are idle or not.

The whole thing is very confusing. Whoever designed it is a real "succor"!!!!

That's either a bug or your inventory was full.

You get attacked while checking the box you won't get the item. Make sure you're aggro free before clicking on chest. Easieast way is to bring friends to grab aggro if necessary.
