    ARC change to DoM maybe?

    Ok were losing arrows but fine we know that now, though I honestly don't like the idea 1 magical arrow that last forever. (and yes I'm assuming/speculating this last part as a worst case)

    So how about moving ARC/BRD to DoM and having us use a spell to create arrows.

    This opens up elemental and status effects rather nicely, and it fits with the trailers we have seen before, balances out the DoW/M numbers and finally allows us to get some cool looking effects for the different 'arrows'..


    edit: to save confusion I'm not arguing to keep arrows but to evolve the ARC/BRD and set why they don't use/buy arrows into the game lore by making them in part DoM which also fits with BRD again nicly i think.

    Also to make it a more individual class and give it a number of differing effects dependent on the type of arrow spell being used

    They could just give them special types of arrows like Final Fantasy XII did.

    2 issues with that:

    1. That would leave us with the magically infinite arrows thing.
    The bow creating the arrows though magic (so still more DoM then DoW) leads onto issue #2

    2. Needing multiple bows and having to switch them all the time would probably be worse on the inventory then arrows currently are.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    I for one welcome infinite arrows. In FFXI, playing a Ranger was such a turn off due to having to constantly buy arrows compared to other classes. Plus its aggravating when you or someone in your group runs out of arrows and has to either use crap arrows or go back to the AH/Retainer to get more. No other class has to deal with that hassle, why limit archers?

    It's a personal taste, I like having ammo for weapons its a bit silly as we have 999 of them i'll happily admit but as the next part of that sentence explained to a point i dislike infinite arrows for no reason.

    I'm, not after realism or anything, just a good game lore explanation as to why we don't use or buy arrows, and I was putting forward my idea for it..

    As i hate game lore being ignored for the sake of a easy like for the devs.

    As above really, I'm not arguing for them to keep arrows, but explain away why they are gone with game lore and evolve and improve the ARC/BRD classes at the same time.

    I leveled CRP because when cobalt arrows were 65k+ at the time, I could see profit. Now they are taking away one of CRP's main incomes? Sheesh. BRD will never be DoM till the class looses its bow and turns into a proper Bard.
