This is nice and all, but still wouldn't mind knowing if they are going to increase bow damage now since current system calculates damage based off the total of both bow and arrow. In 2.0 it seems only the bow will calculate damage which means without a base dmg increase that is a considerable loss in output. Would be a real annoyance if that got overlooked when they remove ammo as an equipable item....mind confirming it at least for us?Hello everyone!
I wanted to clarify some of the things you're discussing in regards to the removal of arrows as ammunition in A Realm Reborn.
There will be an unlimited amount of arrows available that come with equipping bows. Arrows will no longer take up inventory space and players will no longer have to purchase them.
For arrows that had specific enfeebles on them, those effects will be transffered over to specific actions. For example, using specific actions will place an enfeeble on top of the damage from the skill itself.

What will happen to the art of crafting arrows? What about crafters who grind-craft with making stacks of arrows?

I dont really see the need for this change. I dont recall any major threads where players complained about arrows. And when arrow prices tended to rise it was generally because archer was flavour of the day for clearing new content.
PvP is going to be very boring with unlimited arrows. I thought they might have limited players output in pvp (melee/magic and ranged) so teams think strategically, now it all sounds more hack and slash until the last guy is standing.
What will be the effect on gathering, crafting and markets? Granted carpenters may have a new role in houses/furniture, but then no one has a niche to specialise in.
im pertty sure there gonna adjust the the bow's stats to compensate for not having arrows.
So I'm thinkin' maybe the /punch auto attack becomes unnecessary, then, and bard's auto attack can just be an arrow shot? I would be cool with this!Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!
We're planning to adjust the overall battle balance with the understanding that ammunition will be eliminated from the game, so it's not like when we eliminate ammo, we won't make any changes and leave archers and bards damage as it is. Likewise, for carpenters, we will be making adjustments so you will be able to level-up even without crafting arrows.

Thanks Camate. If there are classes/job that are added later on that used to have consumables, such as how Ninja used tools and whatnot in FFXI, will there be adjustments like that as well?Hello everyone!

Makes sense to just have ninjas learn their ninjitsu abilities without requiring ninja tools since they're getting away from classes/jobs having an item requirement to perform.
