    Strength, is it worth it?

I'm currently looking for a pair of double melded pants for my bard, and I'm seeing a lot of Vitality & dexterity instead of strength & dexterity double melds. Is there a reason for this? Does strength add much of a bonus that's actually worth it for bard?

Should I buy these cheap Vitality & dexterity double melded pants or should I wait until I see a good deal on Strength/Dexterity pants?

No, STR only affects ARC/BRD damage by increasing attack, and those pants will only change your attack by a minimal amount.

I thought this was the case. So there really should be nothing wrong with buying dex/vit pants then. Thanks.

While STR doesn't affect your dmg a lot, VIT doesn't affect it at all.

True about VIT but I was curious as to if the small bonus from STR was really worth it. From the sounds of it, its a very small difference.

It's like using HQ accessories. Big money for small differences. However, STR melded pants could also be used on MNK and DRG, so that could save you some slots if you want to play those too.

This is true, and I have MNK and drg leveled as well and need to gear them up also. I may end up going with STR/DEX pants then. I did the same thing when I got Felt bracers with STR for war, mnk, and drg, instead of getting cobalt mitt gauntlets.

The thing is, for bard, I was planning on getting a raptorskin subligar, and I believe felt trousers are the better piece for monk and dragoon (and warrior, but thats a different meld needed). I may end up just getting both. I'll get the money for it eventually. Time for more crafting/spiritbonding.

VIT However does effect your enhancement Magic potency, which does effect your songs. Though I'm not sure what 1-2 Enhancement Magic turns into on a song like Ballad.

    ^^^^^^

I'm wrong here, so Ignore it ; D

VIT and enhancement magic potency don't effect songs from what I remember. Only the AF pieces do.
