Just to clarify, is this true? If so, seems I've missed legacy status and the mount. Would be nice for those who bought the collector's edition to actually get something other than the Onion Helm...

Where is that slowpoke meme when you need it....
not sure if trolling or...
Larek Darkholme @ Ragnarok
I was going to post something sarcastic, but I'll skip the sass.
They posted the patch and/or exact date that the Goobue mount would no longer be available multiple times on the Lodestone main page. It was posted June 21st, July 27th, August 2nd, and August 7th.
I'm not sure what you were expecting in the way of notification, but if you're not checking the main news source for the game, then you shouldn't be surprised if you miss things in the game. Goobue and Legacy were for players who continued to be loyal to the game, which clearly does not apply to you.

Omg, 0o ya not sure if serious.
How to figure out if a person is genuine or a troll
Step 1: Go to Lodestone
Step 2: Search for Character
Step 3: Read an analyse thier History
In this case, the player got the game back at launch (sept 2010) and played for a few days and got his archer to at least r10, Then there is a long absence until late Aug 2012. Gobbues were removed on the 13th of August, he seemed to resume playing around the 27th, so it is quite likely that he completly missed the notification and genuinely was unaware that the Goobue was gone.
So all of you who made snide comments, look before you speak next time.
Yeah this was talked about many, many times... and alot of threads went up the week before hand saying, "Don't forget to get your Goobbue" ; ;

Wow. I didn't realize my ignorance would upset so many people. My apologies, but Magnesium02 is exactly right. I've posted before about how impressed I was with the FFXIV community, and Magnesium02 restores my faith. How to figure out if a person is genuine or a troll

Seems to me you sorta missed the mark of your introductory sentance... :P OR...I could just be the one being sarcastic. I'll let you choose.
After I read all of the responses, Amy's had me actually LOL.
In short, there's a great deal of information to have to catch up on, as sooo much has changed with the game. And having seen players ride these around in game, I was interested to know how to obtain one. I was in the middle of trying to race to 30 when I came across a post that suggested they were no longer available, so I thought the quickest way to find out was ask...my bad. Really, though; my question was answered above and beyond, and for that I say, "Thanks, all!"

You will never have a goob.
But a plus side to your post is you WILL BE GETTING ALL in game items of CE Mount, barding, minion ETC.. just not Legacy nor gobb mount. I sadly missed legacy by 2 weeks but thats on me I made sure I got my gobbue though
