As I said a while back when this topic came up, I think it would be brilliant, as well as on the 360 with smart glass the new controller would be brilliant for an mmo. The only issue is you would likely have to upgrade your storage, but that's not an issue as its fully upgradable.

Dragon Quest X says hi. I already preordered and bought the Wii U in full this morning. I got the 8GB model. Why just 8GB? You can hook up an external hard drive to the system; ANY size. And Reggie already said that preorders for the system(s) were very high for the day.

Oh, and did you forget that Dragon Quest X also has a Wii U version?

I think this would be a brilliant idea and I might actually buy Wii U then.
I love the Zelda and Mario games but I sold my original Wii long time ago for PS3 because well... there was not enough games for Wii at the time that really interested me. My nephew and the rest of the family still love it though and I think Wii is still the no. 1 family console for younger kids.
If Wii brought a kick ass console out with FFXIV, new Zelda and a couple of Mario games out, I would be first in line to buy it.

Lol, the gameshop near me didn't exactly stock the shelves with many WII games I guess :/
Only in the past few years (when I already had gotten rid of my WII) I started to read stuff online - lol I found FFXI years later from others as well when my local gameshop happened to have one copy of this rarerity I was over the moon lol

Of course it can run on the Wii U and I'm sure Yoshida is open for the possibility of a Wii U port, it's really up to Nintendo and S-E. I wouldn't mind a Wii U port and I don't understand how some can be against it, the more player this game gets the better no matter what platform they are playing on.
