Do you want to play after Character Data Save?

In the latest latter, Yoshi has said he will be wanting feedback from players as to wether or not to keep servers open after the cut off time for Character Data Save. So anything you accomplish after would not be kept through to 2.0.

Basically, what we want to know is, do you want to keep playing the current version even after we bring all the Worlds down?

We can bring the servers back up after a few days, and you’ll be able to keep playing the game just like normal...but your final save data will remain unchanged.

Only the character data saved during the November 1 maintenance will be carried over to A Realm Reborn. The devs will also be focusing on the new version, and there will be no more patches or bug fixes for the current version after this point.

Would you still want to play? What would you do? Would you blow all your gil? Make a new character and harrass all your friends?

i don't think so. I'll use the game like a chat, so i would just have the game offline

I don't see the point in playing after the save. In addition I at least hope when the new client goes live it will automatically delete the old files. I can do it on my own but I like reinsurance that it is completely gone from my system lol

After Nov 1st character save, I will not play my character until any progress will be saved. If that means I wait until 2.0 so be it.

Be nice if we could get a few months' subscription to FFXI for free to tide us over until the 2.0 beta!
