Before A Realm Reborn would launch, I was planning to write a Topic for the forum titled: “
One Wish Before A Realm Reborn”, asking for just one thing that we adventurers would like to have in the New Eorzea.
Considering the new big world to explore that will take alone several moons (that is, I'll already have a lot to do and nothing else to ask for), my wish would have been:
“
Send the Speed Run concept in the Seventh Hell and let it stay there with the Lord of the Underworld for the rest of eternity.”
As of today, I still believe the Speed Runs are the worst new content that was introduced in Eorzea and I've yet to find a single adventurer telling me something like:
“I like doing the Speed Runs. I like spamming the same content over and over again with the same party setup/Job stacking every single time.”
Actually, I consider myself lucky that my Job of Monk is left out of the Speed Runs, as I don't envy all those adventurers that spammed the instanced raids (in truth some nice places, but unfortunately wasted with the Speed Run idea).
I already talked about this more thoroughly in the Topic shown in my signature, and therefore, devs, you can imagine
my joy when yesterday I read this from the last
JPGames.de Interview:
JPGames-Frederick: And what about the time limit on current dungeon raids? Will they remain in A Realm Reborn?
Yoshida: The raids in the current version are basically things we have put together with very limited methods and that is why they are limited at the moment.
This is not what we want to do in A Realm Reborn, we want to create many different things.
Expect that instanced raids in the new version will be a lot of fun. We will probably remove the time attack type of system where you are fighting against a boss. Yeah,
our instanced raids will have many different settings where you have to go through in order to make it to the final boss.
And in the following question, Yoshida further confirmed it:
JPGames-Frederick: So it will possibly take a lot of time to clear those dungeons?
Yoshida:
Yeah.

Please, do so! No more Speed Runs in A Realm Reborn!
As a side note, if this happens, the quest for the Relic weapons would change as well and I, too, might have a chance to get my Tiger Claws. /psych
If I'd see the Speed Runs/Jobs stacking trend in the reborn Eorzea, it would be even more painful than yesterday, when I happy-jumped and didn't see the Lalafell trap behind...!
Keep your word on this, Yoshida-san and dev team, please: Annihilate the Speed Runs and make the dungeons really fun and challenging for ALL the Jobs.
