The image speaks for itself. I'll try to clean it up though.
But anyways...
Features/How it works:
- Triple Triad same game from FFVIII.
- Can play anywhere/anytime outside of combat.
- Right click player and select "Play Triple Triad"
- Keep FF8 rules. Add/remove elements to make it fit with FF14.
- Can challenge for fun or for keeps.
- Four options available: No bet (free play), Gil bet, Card bet or winner takes 1).
- Bosses have a low % of dropping their own card as extra loot (not in place of other loot).
- Normal mobs have slightly higher % of dropping their own card.
- NPC sells booster packs for 150,000. Ten random cards (one of which is decent boss card).
- New characters start with 5 random (weak) cards.
- Achievements for getting a certain % of all cards and eventually all cards.
- Can challenge certain NPCs in town (not important but would be nice). Could give these guys rare cards that they use.
- Weekly/Monthly TT tournaments at the Gold Saucer with nice card/gil prizes/vanity items/mounts. Nothing gamebreaking, just rewards nice enough to go after.
- Leaderboards that keeps tracks of tournament brackets, current rank, etc.
- Implement into content finder so that you can challenge anyone cross servers to play a quick round (no keeps and unranked). Matches you with someone near your rank.
- Collecting a certain number of the same card allows you to trade them in for loots.
- Gear with "Increases Card Drop Rate"
- Emote for characters currently playing. Sit down animation while staring at cards in hand.
- Cards should be tradeable/sellable. Possible RARE/EX cards with decent stats.

Stuff like this would drive people absolutely bonkers and give them an added reason to log into the game that is almost unrelated to the actual game itself. Imagine logging in and playing some Triple Triad with people in town while you wait on your random dungeon queue or while waiting for people to gather for an event.
I'll add more to this OP as people suggest it.
