Will you get banned from FFXIV if you get your account in FFXI banned

Asking this question out of pure curiosity and I'm not sure where to post this so sorry if it is in the wrong section.

Will your account in FFXIV get banned if you happen to get banned in FFXI when they share the same Square Enix ID? I was having a conversation with my friend about it and I really didn't know. I know people who get banned in FFXI who have all their FFXI accounts that were tied to the ID banned, but I didn't know if it carried over to the other games.

Also, might as well ask the same question for the reverse situation, will your FFXI account get banned if your FFXIV one does?

I seriously have no idea, but it is entirely plausible since the two games now use the same accounts.

And anyone who has gone through the experience isn't really able to tell us first hand since it's linked to forum use as well...
