    Discontinued Content in 2.0

Just a thought that has me curious. I know we've been promised that when 2.0 comes along, we should lose no data on our characters. My question is, does this also work with the discontinued content list that was recently posted on the lodestone? When that heap of achievements are removed from the game, will the people who spent the time to get those achievements done be stripped of their points/titles/rewards given from the discontinued achievements? I highly doubt we'd be stripped of the rewards as the majority of it is seasonal gear. My concern is with the titles and points. Some of the achievements on the list were pretty time consuming, I wouldn't like to lose the points or titles i've been awarded for completing them. I've got a handful of the quests achievements listed to be discontinued left to do, but I don't want to put the time in to get them if just like the achievements come 2.0, my points and titles become non existent also. Any thoughts, insight on this anyone?

    Lets see...

    This covers Lodestone history (vaguely)
In A Realm Reborn, the date on which an achievement is completed will be recorded as part of an in-game character history, which will be maintained in a manner different from current character histories on the Lodestone.
    and this covers in-game achievements

The titles/rewards likely will remain on your character; it would be quite silly if they didn't. I think the covers most/all of your concerns.

That said, achievement points don't actually mean anything, and I find the concept of meaningless points to be quite absurd. I wish you could spend achievement points or something. You won't find me wasting my time doing those behest/levequest achievements, that's for sure.

That's okay! I'll be forever known as the Sword & Shield of Eorzea, and you'll just be a nobody!

    :P lol

Thanks for that. I don't usually poke around the forums much, so I didn't know someone already cleared up the achievement issue. I'm a bit if an achievement nut though, and the titles that are rewarded from completing a long list of achievements motivates me. It's just a good feeling of knowing I have/will have a title that not many people had the patience to sit down and get in the current build, and come 2.0 no one will ever be able to get again. It's also that feeling of nostalgia you get 5 years or so into the game when you think back to what the game was and what it's become, and knowing you've been through it all. So I am happy to see that the points will not be lost and if the points stay it's easy to assume the titles/rewards will to.
