Brontes Cyclops was regening health, regardless of positioning or how much damage we did to him. His regen was much faster than normal, I am sure this was a glitch.

We had the exact same thing happen to us as well. like 3 times in a row.
Now it was Arges who was regening after we retried.

Hello,
I'm sorry to hear that you have encountered an aspect of game play that is not working correctly, and we apologize for any frustration it has caused.
Can you please describe further in detail what actions you previously took on Brontes Cyclops that may have caused this? Also, it may help the developers to recreate the issue if you could provide the details located here.
Thank you for your patience, and best wishes to you.

Unfortunately I have no idea what actions we used to cause this event. Both the monsters were tanked within their respective aggro area, as well as all members participating in the event were within range. So other than those details, that is all I know.

Just had the same issue with them regenning...
Xarius Rosevino of Palamecia
Formerly Xaru of Sylph (FFXI)
I believe this is an intended mechanic, it forces the whole party to focus on one and then the other, instead of splitting up. It definitely makes the leve more interesting and strategic. Try getting higher DPS in a full party of level 50s, as it is recommended to be this way as stated in the Journal.
But it only happens sometimes, and it's so bad that a group of 8 good players can't get them under 90% of their hp, it regens back to full after 10 seconds.I believe this is an intended mechanic, it forces the whole party to focus on one and then the other, instead of splitting up. So THAT's why we couldn't kill it after or first success.
the one to the west you're only supposed to use physical on, the one to the east, only use magic on (except for the tank ofc) otherwise you'll experience the aforementioned mechanic of them regening.
the best way to do this leve is to go kill the west one as DDs first (the reason for this one first is that you can use your 2hrs on it before changing job and losing them) after killing it, use return from the menu to get back to camp, go mages and kill the east one.
can't remember which is which as far as names go, sorry
