So dated items will be completely revomed from players with 2.0, same goes for material that is no longer in use - or whats gonna happen to these things ? They should definietly vanish, well imo.No more "Dated" in 2.0 please.

They'll slowly vanish as people toss em/sell em to npc since they can't be remade.
Yep they will be phased out by simple item churn. The process is already well under way. Its already impossible to make some of the dated gear as materials to make them have been removed from circulation.
Dated gear will remain in game as a reminder of by gone times. I do how ever think that listings for dated gear should be pruned judiciously from the ward listings.

For those of you wondering what will happen to dated items in A Realm Reborn, Yoshi-P wanted us to let you all know that we will be making an announcement once the direction and specifics have been decided, based off all of your feedback of course.![]()

Keep them all in ARR.
Best of both worlds, reintegrate the "dated" gear into the game and drop the dated title. No one would have to know!
What I mean by that, if you have "dated iron plate cuirass" remove the "dated" and update the recipe to current (ARR) standards.

I'm with Griss, doesn't matter to me what happens as long as the stupid dated gear can't be listed in the markets.
Reintegrating them is a good idea too though.
I'm fairly biased, as I made some dated gear back in 2010... :P I can't imagine SE would keep any dated materials (since they would have no use)
I don't know what kind of database transfer they'll do with the new server, but I feel all the Dated recipes shouldn't be carried over. The easiest way would be to handle dated items like the Guild Marks; they disappear in ARR. That gives people time to try to sell them on the MW or vendor them before the servers go down. Keeping the Dated items in ARR will just serve to confuse new players.
