    Yeah but "FFXIV custom content creation kit" does sound like some kind of kit for creating custom FFXIV content rather than a model viewer.

    Regardless, I'd rather see them working on content for in the game than work on tools for people to make machinima.

    Unfortunately, TF2 isn't an mmo. It's a single and multiplayer FPS. That's an entirely different beast, considering a lot of machinima for TF2 (and other games in general) is usually made using custom tools, or something like GMod.

    However, it's quite possible that if FFXIV does take off after reboot, we will see plenty of dat mods- that means music, custom models, weapons, hairstyles, etc. There's already some of that around, including a faceswapping tool.
