Target highlighted on Mini-map

I was doing some hamlet runs with my Linkshell, I was playing White mage and when I needed to heal one of my party members I clicked there name to try and cure them but they were out of reach, I have trouble finding them sometimes when the map is filled with a large amount of characters on the screen.
I was wondering if mabye we could have the selected target have some kind of indication show up on the mini-map so we know where they are from us.

Example: I click on a party member or a monster, and on the mini-map the "dot" of that character will have mabye arrows or something telling us "this is the character you are target to and they are over here."

I like the idea, though I'm not sure what the best course of action would be. I'm not so sure the minimap is the best idea, yet anything else I can think of might be a bit gaudy or intrusive.

It's okay, I was just trying to think of a easier way to find someone around you if your have trouble finding them.
Sometimes it gets hard for me in large crowds of other monsters and/or people all over the map.

Completely agree we need a better way to find people in crowds in these kinds of situations.

Mobs flash red, let the selected player flash blue or something on the minimap.
