Accuracy questions.

I have recently shown interest in the drg/lnc job. I shelved it back before the critical fix due to reading all the *drg not up to par compared to mnk/blm etc." So I leveled mnk instead. But after seeing some numbers from other drgs I would like to pick it back up. However I have not been able to find a definite answer on accuracy. How much accuracy is needed? For my gear I have the flame tabard/sash str rings and wristlet, double str melded gloves and pants for mnk. Would getting a hold of a explorer neck piece give me enough accuracy to be efficient? Or would I need to sub a ring or two?

With full party bonus I roll with around 382 accuracy. I have capped accuracy on everything, except for some higher level ixali and Garuda.

I have 394 accuracy with no party bonuses and I went into Garuda in full accuracy jewelry (Rings and Neck) along with Accuracy food. I want to say I was around 450~ Accuracy.

How much Accuracy is good for Garuda?

PS - T'was my first Garuda, and I heard she needed higher accuracy than most content. . . so I made sure I had as much as possible. Didn't notice any misses at all, really. All weapons skills hit normally.

The need for accuracy has dropped off alot since they removed the reduced accuracy of some of lnc/drg's best weaponskills. In my experience you dont really need to worry about accuracy really but it wont hurt you if you can get some extra in without sacrificing more important stats like str piety and attack. But dont take that as a free ticket to go out with a gerbald redspike its still an awful weapon. =p

So yeah in the past i've rolled with about 356 acc and i dont recall having much issue with accuracy on any content i attempted including garuda.

Okay, so let me share my experience as Lancer here.

I have a perfectly suboptimal setup. Full AF gear, Malignant Mogfork and one NQ Electrum Ring.

I rarely, if ever, miss on moogles my important combo-building WSes, Leg Sweep every now and then will get a miss when used in a mass of moogles and Chaos Thrust hits everything almost always (almost makes me sad, I loose two steps in my full combo). I have done Garuda exactly once, we had a Bard drop an Accuracy buff on us, I did not miss anything up until she used Mistral Scream, then we died.

I am yet to do Ifrit after the accuracy fix.

So pretty much, accuracy is not a huge issue, it's good to carry an Electrum Ring, I believe, but Gladiator has worse accuracy than Lancer right now.

The attack on gerbald redspike means very little when the high reduction in acc will make it that much harder to cap str which is when attack actually makes any real difference to your damage.
