I thought it was great the first time. A real interesting twist and more realistic for the critters to run away!
I thought it was interesting the second time. It meant I was not imagining it the first time ^.^;
I think it was a bit dull the third time....
I got annoyed on the fourth time....
Fifth time on I already knew it was going to run away and planned saving my TP/HP/etc before even bothering to chase it, then show up at the new point and fight it and its new found friends.
At that point I ignored it was running away and just treated its final destination as another spawn point.
It's one of those things that are "oh lol that's a bit funny" the first two times you see it, and then it just gets really annoying and dumb. It would be better if there was a chance of them running away, or if the leve actually ended if we managed to stop them from running away (and also got rewarded even more from quick completion time).
I'm waiting for someone to complain about running into this with Ifrit.
@AldePawberry
I generally just hate leves.
It's like they made the stalest part of questing more lifeless by making it into the flipping DMV.

I REALLY hate those leves... If they want to 'surprise' you with additional mobs, the additional mobs should come to you...not make you chase some half dead mob until he disengages and ruins your xp gains.
As they are setup now, I hate them. Not that I have a problem with target mobs running away, but seriously, I once had a mob run for 3 minutes. That's just ridiculous for what these are. If they keep them, I hope they change it up somehow. Have random mobs spawn on the way, or have several attack and scatter. Whatever they do, keep the range with in reason.
