Forum: Linking to items or character profiles

Y'know how on Facebook or Twitter or Google Plus it's coded so you can easily link to someone else's profile by typing it "@hoobajoob" or "+hoobajoob" in your post?

That'd be a neat thing to add to the forums and Lodestone blogs for linking to profiles of people we mention.

Also, adding something to bring up a pop-up item description when we mouse over an item name in someone's posting would be cool, too.

Where is this being pulled from??? Been trying figure out how to do this on my linkshell website forums for the newer stuff. It does tooltips from YG but... yeah... we all know that story...

These forums use Zam's item database. I guess it's fairly accurate for the most part, but it is by no means completely updated.

I'm no web designer but if you want to use ZAM's database, I think you're looking for this page.

Other database sites should have something similar to that if ZAM is not to your liking.

I use enjin. Not sure if I can add that but I'll keep looking. The link does help though, giving me ideas. Thank you!

Edit: Nevermind, I just figured out how to use it on enjin! Yay! It'll be easier to label stuff now
