    Linkshell Improvements

As I have stated many times before since launch, we need better Linkshell options. My main issue is rebuilding the LS I created on September 22 to its former glory but I cannot do so with 19 of my 27 members being inactive cluttering up my LS. So here are a few LS options I believe should be worked on.
    • Linkshell message.
    • Leader controls to Demote/Promote/Remove linkshell members remotely. (INCLUDES offline members)
    • A way to show/hide offline members or change it so online members show up first.
    • Being able to select a color pallette to change LS emblems to desired color combo.
    • The ability to invite members of the LS to a group without having to use to the group search funtion OR social list. (Added in patch 1.18)
    • The ability to pass leadership to another player in the linkshell.
    • The ability to see what Location/Rank/Class my members are.

      OPTIONAL:
    • An option to show last login time/date of members.
    • The ability to talk to multiple LSs with out having to change my current one. (maybe by doing /l#?)
    • Ability to leave an oflline message or note.

linkshells are for social. What you asking for are basics of guilds. Which may be what campanies are. And they said those were gonna have more options. If that is the case if LS had all of what your proposing what wiuld be the point of a company?

not saying i think you ideas are bad just doing a opener.

Message i agree with as I liked the /lsmes function

i think showing offline players should be toggles so i agree with that.

I think the pass leader is a bad idea. I like knowing who the leader is, and it not get tossed around when ppl "don't feel like it".

Ls's as I said are meant to be just social. I think a calamder will be good to set up meet and greets. Possible adding places in the game to have said meet and greets. Like big empty rooms players can use or rent out. Like that cafe in ffxi when treasures was launched.

I wouldn't mind a linkshell bullitine board to see all the LS's who are looking for members. Or had a mentor program in the LS's that a leader asks other ppl to be mentors to newbies.

I agree there needs to be some kind of way to remove members remotely and for offline members too. Short of reforming, there really isn't a way to clean up the rosters for all those players that re-rolled or quit/cancelled their account without actually leaving the shell.

On a side note, does anyone know what happens if the leader of the LS quits and closes their account? Does the shell auto-disband or are they just stuck?

What I ask for is for exactly what LINKSHELLS in XI had and a few extras, a calender and/or bulletin board would be going way out of the box as far as linkshells go. Maybe for companies, sure.

Passing leader is essential for a few reasons, LS leader decides to quit the game or going inactive indefinately. Decides he wants to move servers and not all members wish to follow him but wish to keep the LS and it's name alive and continue doing what was being done before leader left. So many times in XI we had to reform our Linkshells because of leaders going inactive, quitting, server hopping, etc. This has caused many losses due to members not wanting to reform or were busy with rl stuff and log on one day with a dead linkshell. Some of these members may come back, most will move on, this is a very annoying issue.

I believe the shell remains but do not quote me on this because if a character deletes and remakes they are automatically removed from LS roster.

Linkshells REALLY need the ideas purposed. No brainer's were not thought of such as not being able to kick someone out of guild when there offline. I'm part of a online ffxiv gaming community with ventrilo and such, We've had to remake a ls about 3 times do to a linkshell being full of retired players, or a change in staff position and a new ls owner is needed. The lack of features is troublesome .

Thanks for the support, hopefully this doesn't get ignored like the countless feedbacks I've been submitting since September.

agree with all your non optional suggestions, have said the same myself many times, especially the changing leaders, removing/promoting members online/offline anywhere in the world. This is a given to control the ls, we have linkshell boards on lodestone, why can it not be linked with that.

you are just stuck, you cant promote any more people to leader so the leaders you have are it. And they do not dissapear from the list, or didnt last time I saw this happen when the leader re-rolled deleting his old char.

I agree with everything you said in OP. But as someone mentioned in one of the posts above this if companies have all these functions (which i highly doubt given their current track record on this game) then there is not much need for linkshells at all. I really cant see many people ever equiping a linkshell again if companies offer the same communication but with more features. Which makes me think that companies dont operate in the same way as a linkshell. So i believe its best that we get these features added to linkshells asap.
