ERROR MESSAGE WHEN TRYING TO LOAD THE GAME

I'm sorry if this has already been asked but I just downloaded this game from Amazon a few nights ago. I have only been able to play for one night and now whenever I double click on the icon on my desktop to play the game I get a an error message with "ffxivboot.exe" at the top of it. It says that ffxivboot.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience. Then I have the option to send Microsoft an error report or decline to. No matter which one I do it closes FF14. This has been ongoing for 3-4 days now. I have deleted the game and installed again but still the same problem happens.

Is there anything I can do? I have run virus programs and Spyware programs just to see if that was the problem but alas it is still happening. So can anyone please help me. Am I the only one this is happening to? If this has happened to anyone else what did you do? I am hoping to actually play this game. Any help is appreciated thank you in advance.

Your comp may not be good enough to play, the game requires a really good comp, I had to get a new one to play.

Hmm but i was able to play for 2 hours or so with no problems. Any other problems that it could be?

It could be any number of problems.

Maybe you don't have enough free space on your hard drive.

Maybe you're running out of memory.

Maybe the drivers for your graphics card need to be updated.

Maybe the latest graphics card drivers broke something about the game.

Maybe your hard drive needs to be defragmented.

The 1.x client is awful as far as its programming is concerned. Even a fragmented file in the game directory can muck the whole thing up. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the game twice in as many months because it simply stopped working properly. On the other hand, there are lots of people who've been playing since launch and never had a single problem.

All of us live in hope that 2.0 will solve all our problems.
