the fact that you have to get a double meld of a already hard to get weapon is bad game design

anyone else in my position? no DoH/L leveled anywhere near enough, not ANYWHERE near enough gil to buy them from the AH

Five months before 2.0 is plenty of time for even a casual to at least get 1 weapon. Just make sure you're in a semi organized guild.

We've double melded 7 weapons so far this first week. So, no complaints here.

I've had 0/8 so far. Donations from friends... and all my Gil gone. So yeah.. RNG is BS.

Have the specs on these weapons been posted yet? I've looked but haven't found any info yet. I know at least for myself that I wont be spending any money on trying to get them until I find out they're worth it...

EDIT: In order to be worth it I would need to see at minimum double digit upgrades in dps...if its just a couple points I'll stick with my primals and regular melded gear ><

I leveled Botanist to 50 in a week, as well as Miner to 48 in 5 days. Leves work very well for this. You don't NEED to have DoH leveled to do a relic, you can always get a friend meld it for you.

The part that sucks is the fact that it takes luck. Some people will get lucky and meld it in a first two attempt, others will succeed in melding it after 20 attempts.
