New Player (US - English speaking) looking for LS to join

I am new to MMORPG's though I have played a ton of normal RPG's. I am 2 days into this game and am in need of help, really all I want is to join a LS so I can help and be helped by people.

My Linkshell is named Hellgate if anyone is interested in joining.

I tried to pick a lore-friendly name, yet I do realize it is a pain to type... I am really surprised I have had no responses in-game or on this thread... For a MMORPG people seem to be really unsociable.

Well, I think all others LS recruits only high lv and experienced players. I'm like you are: a newcomer. And I'm brazilian (^^) and dont have place in any big named Endgamers LS. So, I wanna make friends in game in low lv and new to this game. If you want, we can play togheter and try to discover the game by ourselves. What you think?

Not for that. I'm trial period yet, so, I can change worlds and chars like changing classes in game (I'd changed chars a lot of times since I've started playing). Erizel is my 6th char... I liked Limsa Lominsa more than any other city. Gridania is like a labyrinth that everything is much far and boring to pass through, despite of the beautiful cenarios, and Ul'Dah is a good place too, but I prefer Limsa^^.

But way Hyperion is so special? I know Ragnarok is more empty but I guess its better begin in an empty server than a full one... Am I wrong?

It's not about population, it's just that my LS is with me on Hyperion ^^

People in this game are very friendly usually
I don't know what your starting city is, but most players are usually in Ul'dah so if you want to play with or talk to them you will probably have to go there.
It's also easier to join an already established LS than starting your own one.
Here is a list with quite a few Linkshells on Ragnarok, although I can't say who is recruiting right now.

People don't talk much in normal chat, they usually keep it in LS- and Partychat, but that doesn't mean they don't want to talk to you
Just start up a conversation when you see someone by sending them a tell, most people will respond fast.
Although your name is kind of...a bit long and hard to type..^^°

Ragnarok has a smaller US based population than other servers, but especially in US based linkshells there is quite a bit going on at NA times!
I personally don't know many since I usually play during EU times, but Gondwana is very active during NA time and Limit Break does stuff at that time too (only endgame stuff though).
But I'm sure if you look around a bit you will find a nice LS for you to play with and many people to talk to, too!

I'm not sure about this idea that ppl are only recruiting high lvl players...we all have to start somewhere...my ls is social/friendly...not hardcore or w/e...we have an open recruitment going on...as long as you want to play and have fun with laid back ppl...just put yourself and your ls out there OP...there are a lot of ppl running around who don't have a ls and I'm sure would be willing to join yours...it just takes some work...but good luck and welcome to the Rok...
