Regarding active subscriptions confirmation for forum access.

Currently the forums only check on subscription status once a day, which is why some players have to wait 24 hours before being able to post after subscribing (or re-subscribing) to FFXIV.

We are looking into increasing the frequency of these checks moving forward so that players will no longer have to wait such a long time before they get forum access.

Also, what's with the requirement to LOG IN TO THE GAME every so often? I've had a continual sub since the day of release, yet if I don't log in to the game regularly I can't log into the forums: my sub. should give me access, I shouldn't be forced to log in my characters simply to exercise that right.

If you're not actively playing the game why should you get access to a forum that requires game activity? If you haven't played in 30 days you can't use the forums, which anyone who is truly active in this game will never have this problem.

This whole lock should be removed, because, if you want players who are not playing, how can they come to the forum to state why they are not playing and/or having issues.

Seems very silly to me to force a subscription so that a player can finally talk here.

That's what exit surveys are for. Personally, I'm very happy to deal with considerably less trolling than we saw back when the game was free.
