Legacy discount for players currently unable to play

Hey Leo, good to hear from you.

I'm happy with new server, thanks. I think the answer is to get a new account. I'll be keeping mine active stiil though. I'll not play any of the GF's account, I don't want to spoil any of the experience for her. I'll see if I can get her on for a bit, at least we get some use from the account. She's more interested in joining me than sharing the computer with me.

It'll be nice to be on the same terms once the PS3 version is released.

OP, I'd pay for it now in hopes of saving money in the long term.
If it was me and my bf I'd be annoyed if one of us ended up left out from such a sweet deal.

We'll be living together soon enough, and the smaller the bills are the better.

THe only way you can get her on it now is to pay 3 months in advance Prior to the beta start.

To the OP, just pony up the cash for your girlfriend's account. SE has already gone the extra mile in this campaign and others. They don't really owe you anything at this point.

I agree with this + If you intend on playing FFXIV for a while buying 3-months now will pay for its self within around 6 months from the lifelong discount.

I think she has to gauge her interest in the game.

If she thinks she will be playing this for a year after 2.0, then it is worth it to get to 3-month subscription with a single character.

If you all are looking at maybe 4~6 months of gameplay after 2.0, the cost of qualifying for the legacy discount probably will not even out.

Are you presently sharing the same account? Or did/does she have a separate inactive account now? She can still make progress on the one PC when you are not playing if she has her own account.

But I do not believe you will be able to move her character from your account to her account when she creates it.

It's safe to say, "Invest" 1st in your subscription for three[3] consecutive months of FFXIV(both of you) and worry about the extra PC/PS3 platform later. If you don't want to be left out of the Legacy program, I think you deserve that much if you stuck with the joys/pains SE has given you through the game(lol). I think it's a good deal (business, economic wise and socially).

I planned the build of my PC way before FFXIV beta but I also have a PS3 with 250GB of space, so that's ready too. I'm not rich or have a high income. You just need to manage and be responsible and everything will go peachy. I know by the time your ready, the build of a new PC or getting a PS3 won't be so stressful but worth it cus you'll be a Legacy player!
