FFXIV Not On Square Enix's E3 List

Just gonna quote my self to ease your worries.

We know about it and of course it's gonna be there. They have confirmed it months ago.

However, what about the 500.000 players who left the game 2-3 months after release, who knows how many players that are still waiting for PS3 release, major gaming and mmo sites, the MMO fans who might be willing to give this game another spin, and several other groups that could be interested in this game? Well, they might not even know this game is still online.

SE needs to step up their marketing plan way ahead of 2.0 release, and even small things like appearing on a list of E3 games on IGN is important.

How is TGS too late? You do know the Japanese play this game too, right? Not to mention TGS is covered by western media as well..

Because TGS is in September ... you need months of planning and advertising to make something do well in gaming, not to mention the positive buzz from E3 if they are successful is a bonus whatever way you look at it.

It really depends how much SE plan to push this though.

Also E3 is a worldwide show and TGS is a Japanese show, although western media cover TGS its nowhere near on the scale of E3. (E3 is the biggest gaming show of the year, simple)

If they don't step up on their marketing they aren't going to get as far as they could. Why do you suppose apple and wow are so popular? Its because they know their stuff when it comes to advertising and marketing.

ffxi had horrible marketing if any at all. Most people who know I play ffxiv always say to me "ew you playing that failure of a game from 2010 that sucked?" they don't know about any of the changes or 2.0.

in the UK there must of been a WoW advert with chuck norris or Mr. T every 15 minutes in 2008 - 2011.

I agree SE shouldn't advertise now but when 2.0 hits they NEED to go all out.

Except that the Square Enix Members account tweeted that link to check out their lineup for E3. Which would lead me to assume it's accurate.

It can be accurate but not complete. On top of that this is FF's 25th anniversary and the only title there is a 3DS game. There will be more to show off and we know for sure 2.0 is going to make an appearance because Yoshi-P said so.

That particular list isn't the full list.. 2.0 is a big game.. and they said it would be @ E3 on the Forums and on the PDF's. So "Obviously" they have more to show than just that.. or MAYBE.. they are holding it for a big surprise announcement.. they do have things like that on Sony Press Conferences. Just it doesn't add up:

Forum Confirmation + PDF Confirmation= Not at E3? No doesn't make no since at all.. they are obviously withholding that information as a Surprise so it can stir up the crowd (maybe).

Funny thing about Elder Scrolls Online ... people are already crying that it's a WoW clone.
